Harmony Trail May Volunteer Day

Join a fun team of volunteers for an assortment of work on the Harmony Trail! We plan to tackle the following activities:   

• Build a grade reversal into the trail that goes down to the Marian Crossman Bridge to eliminate erosion
• We will use gravel, donated by Pine Township, to repair potholes in the parking lot and problem areas on the trail
• Replace a sign in the parking lot
• Pull debris from the stream, weather permitting (bring boots or waders to go in the stream)
• Replace a post and sign that was taken from the trail by an unknown actor
• Remove invasive plants
• Correct some water runoff issues on the trail

Please dress appropriately for the activity. There are ticks in the area. Most of the work will be dirty.  We recommend long pants, hard shoes, long sleeve shirts and work gloves.

There is no need to sign up but be on time.  We will describe the tasks and break up into groups starting at 9:00 a.m.
