Join a work crew on a reroute of the Baker Trail north of Route 66, including some bridge construction.
We are moving the trail east of an area that's routinely soggy. The new trail is 0.45 miles and passes through woods between a gravel road and a pipeline. It crosses a drainage where we'll assemble an 8' bridge.
We'll be working to clear and level the treadway with digging tools, plus some light pruning.
Bring gloves, bug spray, and water & snacks for yourself. It's hunting season, so wear safety orange or a similar bright color. We'll supply the necessary tools.
