Ridge Road trail relocation work day 2

Join a trail volunteer crew helping to clear new trail!

We are working on Phase II of the relocation of the Rachel Carson Trail off of Ridge Road, which will complete the off-road link between Bull Creek Road and Burtner Road.

Today we'll continue clearing the brush and the treadway. We will make minor improvements to the slope of the trail (sidehill work), and channel some drainage areas along the way. A chainsaw will also be used to clear any large trees. Bring loppers, mattock/McLeod and gloves (tools and gloves available if you don't have them), and water and snacks for yourself.

Weather conditions this time of year may make the task too difficult, so please check this page prior to departing in case the work day is cancelled.
