Describe your background, interests, and vocation.

I used to build highways, and now I construct and maintain little roads called trails. I have more volunteer hours with the North Country Trail than any other volunteer, currently around 20,000.

Why would you like to be on the RCTC Board?

I currently maintain the Baker Trail where it piggybacks the NCT from Gravel Lick Bridge to the Allegheny National Forest. I also volunteer with Team Rubicon as a Sawyer Instructor we have done trail clearing in Moraine State Park as part of our training. Similarly, Team Rubicon could be a resource on RCTC.

What makes you a good addition to the RCTC Board?

Former union rep, mediator, arbitrator, and NPS long-term volunteer. I served as President of the Clarion Chapter of the NCTA for 17 years, and also serve on the board of AVTCCC the group that is working to close the Foxburg to Emlenton gap that is part of the Erie to Pittsburgh trail.
