Amend Bylaws to expand our purpose
Environmental stewardship is becoming more important as we acquire more land and the Board believes we should recognize this in our statement of purpose.
Currently, Article II – PURPOSE of the Bylaws states:
"The Rachel Carson Trails Conservancy is formed to preserve and promote community trails in Western Pennsylvania."
The Board recommends adoption of this change:
"The Rachel Carson Trails Conservancy is formed to preserve and promote community trails in Western Pennsylvania through the acquisition, conservation, and stewardship of land for the public benefit."
